Review:
Alright, so there's a close connection to It's a Wonderful Life. Moving on.
Sandler has disappointed me more than he's made me proud. I liked Billy Madison for its' stupidity. I mean, I laughed. I laughed my ASS off in Happy Gilmore, and The Wedding Singer was very cute, and the only movie I liked Drew Barrymore in. The same director has made Click, and I had to hope it was better than all the other crap movies Sandler's been in lately.
I didn't find the laughs coming too easily for me, but the rest of the theater was cracking up so I think I was missing something. Dogs humping dolls isn't ever funny to me. I don't find farting in peoples' faces all that funny any more. The worst part is the over-exagerrated fart noises. They should have made it subtle, more SBD styled than the anal explosion that came forth. What I'm trying to say is, the movie's humor is NOT subtle. Then again, it's Adam Sandler, whaddaya expect?
Although I wasn't expecting much from Click, I ended up being fairly satisfied. There aren't many surprises storywise. Everyone knows that things will turn out alright in the end - oh, shit! Did I ruin it?! -but the journey was somewhat touching, and never boring. Kate Beckinsale is hot. Mrs. Newman is SUPER-HOT! Even after the years pass, and everyone gets older, she's still extremely HOT!
My biggest surprise was in the aging effects. Rick Baker did the makeup effects, and I'd have to say it is some of the most AMAZING aging for any movie I've ever seen. Sean Astin was the biggest surprise. I seriously think that's what he'll look like in 30 years.

Click is much like It's a Wonderful Life, just like all the other critics say. I hated that movie, so this in my opinion is a much better viewing choice than that Christmas headache. For those who are into sappy dramas and/or Sandler's comedy schtick, this is definetely one worth checking out. I find Sandler to be "ok" these days, and I'm a sappy little bitch myself - for a MAN - and so I ended up thinking the movie itself was "ok" as well. The last half hour is the best part of the movie, and I would have excised the last 10 minutes, which would have made the movie ten times ballsier and more unique. Sadly, this isn't that kind of movie. That would make 85% of the paying viewers HATE this movie!
